Title of the Journal/Publication: RPS 2019-02

Main Idea: This article mainly focuses on AVA trying to improve agriculture in the country. The study focuses on crops like bananas and pineapples. These were selected base on its gross value and export earnings.

Evidence that supports the main idea(provide atleast 2):

“This study assesses the implementation of selected agribusiness venture arrangements (AVAs) and identifies the prerequisites needed to ensure that the adoption of AVAs will improve farm income and productivity, thereby enhancing sustainability of the agrarian sector.”

“The study notes several issues on production and capital investments, marketing and pricing, institutional support, and contract terms that affect the implementation of AVAs. It recommends that AVAs should be encouraged but government has to provide a policy environment for Philippine export crops to be competitive.”

Synthesis:

Some of the studies that we read about, falls under agriculture the protection. The first article that talked about the protection of the forest cited several solutions on how to protect forest. Like, the use of controlled use zones as management tool, an update in the National Baseline Policy, etcetera. The next article was one of those that involves economic. This topic focuses mainly on implementing an increase on farm income and productivity of Sugarcane Block Farming. Due to certain reasons, there are several issues that affects the implementation of SBF. Issues on production, marketing and pricing. This recommends SBF arrangements to be encouraged. Unfortunately, a policy is needed to be provided by the government. Agrarian reform beneficiaries and associations should also be supported. The third article is about the K-12 that was implemented here in the country not too long ago. This talked about the SHS curriculum, identifying types of jobs, etcetera. As said earlier, this other article, or that last article, is about economics. This study assesses the likelihood of achieving the employment and entrepreneurship objectives of the program, this focuses on improving agriculture in our country by examining the experience of Grade 12 graduating students and the views of firms about the labor market prospects of the SHS graduates. It does this by (i) looking into the SHS curriculum and the competencies developed among the graduates, (ii) identifying the types of jobs that fit the Grade 12 graduates, (iii) gathering the private sector perspective on the jobs available and appropriate for the Grade 12 graduates, and (iv) providing policy recommendations for improving the implementation of the SHS program. It also focused on specific crops that were selected base on its gross value and export earnings. Not all these topics only fall under one topic. They are different yet, they are related. Senior high school has a lot of strands, some of which includes, strands that relate to economics and agriculture. The senior high school may also help increase the economy of the country. Because these people who study senior high school may count as what we call “yamang tao” that a country has. The protection of the forest may also relate to this. In a way that the forest counts as “yamang lupa”. It is important for our country and it may really help with our country’s economy. Finance plays a very important role in the social and economic construction of our country. The economy is one of the most important indicators to measure a country’s development and national progress, and it is also an important manifestation of the state’s Comprehensive National Power and its unassailable position in the face of the challenges of economic globalization. Therefore, finance not only plays an obvious role in promoting the process of national economic development, but also plays a central role in economic development. Senior high school students are the backbone of the future development of the country and the nation. It is of great significance for them to learn financial management knowledge and set up correct financial management concepts. It can do more to protect the environment, with funds means that the vast majority of the funds can be diverted to all the charity organization or environment protection agencies. The other two also falls under “yamang lupa” for it talks about the crops. All these factors are important to a country’s economy. At first, we had doubts about it being related to each other. But as we read, we were able to conclude that all four of these are in fact connected.
